Physical Education

Physical Education Intent

At Lymington CE (Aided) Infant School we aim to develop the knowledge of life skills and capabilities necessary for mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing in our children now and for their future through our Physical Education curriculum. We provide opportunities for pupils to experience a variety of sports, activities and competitions. In addition to this we encourage children to be active as possible throughout the school day.

Through Physical Education, we aim to develop pupils with a strong foundation within the fundamental skills and offer a variety of carefully considered activities to further enhance these skills. Pupils are encouraged to understand and develop a need for healthy life style, a balanced diet, positive growth-mindset and the resilience to persevere with activities that may be once have felt too difficult.
